Three Simple Ways To Relax

We all have those days when we are too busy or live one of those lifestyles in which it feels like we are just another robot on a conveyor belt that we call life. However there will always be ways that you can snap back to reality and appreciate the fact that you are actually a human being.

1 | Smell a bunch or flowers or a jar of tea. By smelling something nice we can often found ourselves immediately back to life.

2 | Appreciate the things around you or cherish the things that you are grateful. Whether you're walking or on public transport or even driving somewhere. You can always appreciate the things around you whether it's that tree that stands alone its branches dancing with the wind or that you a have family no matter how big or small, blood or not standing around you to help you on this journey.

3 | Breathe. Simple as that. Take one big deep breath and suddenly you'll feel your shoulders drop and you feel much more able to cope with the worlds challenges.

Dear Future Self...

The next year holds a lot for me both personally and academically. I have not the slightest clue of where I will be this time next year. I could either end up in university with a job or even somewhere else. You never know what the future holds, therefore you can never be fully prepared. I always find if I hold high expectations or plan my future it never goes how I plan. Which encourages me to keep my options open and to do the best I can possibly do at the time.

I don't know where I will be in a years time which encouraged me to do this post, so in a years time I can look back and maybe answer a few of the questions that I have to myself...

Have you done any travelling?

How are your family?

Did you get into to uni?

Do you have a job?

Are you still in contact with your current friends (I hope you are)?

It is nerve racking to think about what the future holds. But sometimes it is good to set yourself personal goals that isn't affected by those around you but that you have put together, personally for yourself. One of my personal goals is to stay optimistic no matter what and to work hard despite how hard life may get.

Do you have any questions for your future self in a years time? Be sure to comment your answers.

Ella Eyre's Feline Tour

Last week I attend my first concert. I've been to many gigs and festivals in the past but a concert was something I haven't been to and me being a lover of music, was quite shocking really.

I was lucky enough to go to the Feline concert with my friend Abbey, where we saw both Jasmine Thompson and Flawes perform as well as the one and only Ella Eyre herself. It was the most surreal experience as we were only four rows back from the front of the stage. Also the show was very energetic and exciting and involved a lot of jumping and singing from not only the Ella but the audience as well.

Have you ever been to a concert? What concerts would you like to go to or are going to?

Autumn Favourites

As winter is only a few weeks away, I have decided to share the handful of things that I have been loving this autumn. These are very random but I thought it would be better this way as I am not talking about things that I like but things that I truly have been loving and using throughout the windy months.

My number one favourite thing of the past couple of months has been this hand moisturiser. Recently I have been getting very dry hands especially at work where they have gotten so dry that they have started to bleed at points. Luckily I have never suffered with dry hands before but this year it has hit me hard. I have tried many hand products to try and help but they have all felt like they have just sat on my hands rather than actually skin in and make my hands feel better. But this product does all of that and more. I have always loved Vaseline, but have never expanded to any of their other products such as this one. Now that I have tried it I am a firm lover of this product and can't wait to try more.

I'm not going to go into much detail about this product as I have mentioned it before in my last "Autumn nails" post. But this is a truly lovely colour and good quality for the price.

Another absolute love of mine has been this necklace that I found for £1.50 reduced from £8 in Topman. Yes I know that it is a male necklace and I'm a girl (as my sister likes to inform me, bless her)! But the truth is I love how it is still slightly elegant even though it has more of a masculine feel. It is a perfect necklace for everyday wear, as you can wear it long or short and it layers lovely with colder clothes.

This next thing was a birthday present from my family back in March. I have worn it a few times but have only started loving it now, I love how the musky scent is in this season. It is a lovely change from my normal more floral scents. It smells very professional and isn't over the top, which is great for day to day wear.

Last but certainly not least is candles... This is the one that I've been particularly loving this season, just because it is a perfect size for tea light candles and creates a lovely asset to the room.

What have you been loving this season?

Autumn Nails

As the end of Autumn is upon us, I have been loving a few nail polishes. Over the past couple of months I have been wearing them consistently and getting real use out of the money I have spent of them. They are also colours that I would personally associate with the autumn seasons which makes them even better.

This is a nail polish that I have had since last autumn and have worn throughout the Christmas period too. I love the colour of this as it is a little more purple in different lighting which gives your nails a little mix up without having to paint them a different colour. The applicator makes it very easy to apply, which is a bonus. However after a year of having this nail polish the quality of the product has become more lumpy and harder to apply. But nevertheless I loved this nail polish so I would definitely repurchase this again the future.

This nail polish is another red shade however this colour is more of a darker and clearer red even though it may not look like it. Personally I love the pigment of this product and how the brush is a little thicker than other brands. Meaning it's quicker to apply as it covers more surface of the nail at once. Unfortunately something I found with this product is when I take it off with the good old nail polish remover and cotton wool pad tends to stain the surrounding area of my nail. So I normally have to end up trying to peal it off as it leaves my hands more clean that way. Overall this product is good and doesn't need many layers for a strong quality coat.

Last but certainly not least is this greyish brown nail polish. I love this colour for all year around as it can make for an everyday classy and elegant look. Something I am also very fond of with this product is the size of the handle as it helps to give a more precise coat.

What nail polishes have you been loving recently?

Things To Do in Autumn

Chilly evenings and frosty mornings. Rainy days and windy waves. As much as some of us may love the Autumn weather it is a clear fact that there is not many things you can do because of it. However you shouldn't let the weather get you down there's still lots of fun to be had within your home. But most people don't really know what these things are therefore I'm going to give you a few ideas of certain things you can do in the frosty months to help keep you occupied.

1 | Listen to the radio - Find the radio station you enjoy and you can hear about lots of things to keep you up to date and listen to different music you may of not heard before.

2 | Watch a film - Have a movie day it is a great way to relax and have fun at the same time. Even invite a few friends around so you don't feel lonely.

3 | Colouring in - There is nothing better then colouring in and creating a masterpiece of your own, it's a great way to spend a cold rainy afternoon.

4 | Read a book - If all else fails, there is nothing better to do than reading. It is a great way to improve your knowledge or/and reading ability whilst snuggling up and loosing yourself in another world.

What do you like to do in Autumn?

Autumn Bucket List

Here in the UK it is finally autumn. The weather is becoming more crispy cold and the leaves are turning brown. Personally I love autumn it's not to cold and it's definitely not warm it's the perfect season to get you ready and prepared for all the festive cheer that winter brings. Most years I let autumn pass me by, I don't appreciate the fun that it brings. However although this year I'm probably more busier than I've ever been before, I am prepared to make the most of the autumn season. In order to that, what better thing to do than make a bucket list, to keep me motivated. Here is my bucket list of ten things I want to do this autumn.

* Wear lots of cosy jumpers

* Drink hot beverages

* Have a movie day or evening

* Light autumnal candles

* Spend quality time with family and friends

* Fancy dress

* Jump in a pile of leaves

* Go for long country walks

* Snuggle up in front of the fireplace

* Breathe in crisp clean air

What do you like to do in the autumn/fall time?
